I try to read as much as I can. And often, like everyone, I need to read the right passage to finally make sense of something that’s been alluding me for a long time. I was recently reading a book on running and how to go farther and faster. In one of the passages the author states that when the brain kicks in to tell me to stop running because I’m reaching my capacity, it’s not because my my heart is going to explode or my lungs are going a rupture. It’s because my body is nearing the edge of its comfort level. And if I keep pushing, my brain will try its best to make me stop.
